(chap. 14) OK - I don't feel sorry for Merry anymore. I think this ter ter was extremely well done. The psychology behind Merry's chosen punishment of Pip is fascinating and a great set-up for future conflict and angst. Keep posting!

Sam is certainly a most brilliant hobbit isn't he? Yeah, I need a friend like Sam. Everyone needs a Sam. *nods* Merry has lost his poor little mind, Pippin is so in love he's almost oblivious to what goes on around him, and Frodo...poor Frodo. *sighs* I love this though and demand you update soon, becuase I reviewed. ^-^ Feed me!

I don't know why this is my favorite line, but it is. And gosh, but Ialmoalmost (almost, mind you) feeling bad for Merry here. He's so sure that he's protecting Frodo but OH! I'm very worried about what else he'll do in the name of protection. OK, not worried - looking forward to more like, but hey, we all have our little eccentricities. Your story just happens to be mine.

Echoes here of the Frodo/Faramir debate - excellent use of language. It's so very hard to dislike Merry, although I have faith you'll give us plenty of reasons to do so later. Bwa ha ha ha!

Although I'm the only one reviewing, I'm quite certain I'm not the only one reading. You know I love this story so what can I say? Sam is very well done here and your writing style does tend to build tension. Looking forward to major Frodost tst to come.

I know I tell you this all the time, but I really love the development of these characters. I'm so tired of Frodo being wide-eyed and innocent...it's so nice to see him thinking and calculating. And Merry! Sheesh! What can I say? His calm alone is enough to give one the shivers. [ Told you I'd keep reviewing! :) ]

This is wonderful chapter. You can feel Frodo trying to believe the situation is still manageble...but we know better, don't we? Bwa ha ha ha! Keep 'em coming!!

I'm loving this story and can't wait to see where you're going with it. My one and only complaint is that the chapters are too short!! I am sincerely hooked.
