This was great. I loved the way you snuck in the Fountain of Youth in this one with a little magic.
These stories make me want to read the whole story before I go onto another in the series. I just can't seem to stop.

Hmm. I've gotten all the way through it. I'm glad you posted the movie-verse warning at the beginning, and I'm sure there's alot that I'm missing by not reading the story that came first. At some point, I'll probably head over to movies and read the sequel as well, just because I wonder where you're going to take Haldir and his poor heart next. I enjoyed the story and it was a fun read.
Now for the buts - I don't imagine its going to do well over here. Most of your characters have drawn pretty far away from the original characters, (although hannon le for not turning Legolas into a whining victim or Eowyn into a perfect mary-sue!) And I loved Legolas and Eowyn's dialogue right after they are captured, where Legolas reassures her. (won't say much here 'cause I'm sure others want to READ what happens)
Most of here are very aware of the roles that magic takes in Middle Earth and the sudden introduction of powerful magicians with flying carpets and genies was a bit hard to swallow. A tiny suggestion: There were more Maiar sent to Middle Earth than just Gandalf, Saruman and Radagast. Perhaps if you tied your magicians to one of them it might go down easier.
I'm still laughing over Haldir as a baboon, though! That was GREAT! *notes Haldir glaring at me* Um...I mean..sad...and errr... awful...

Once again, I am enjoying your stories and writing...but my poor Haldir loving heart is breaking! I know he won't stay a baboon, but he has been pining away for an unattainable love for so long! Can't you give him someone of his own?? Please? Poor Haldir....But on a very strange level, I am truly enjoying him as a baboon! Hmm....Haldir on a leash...has possibilities...hee hee!! ;)

I love your stories they make me ache for so much more. What a heartbreaking plot so far this story has. However, it is definently a hooker when first reading it. It makes you wish you could help Legalos and Eowyn. Please update soon...I am so hooked!
