This is probably the best story around Haldir I've read so far. It has everything: Suspence, romance, and many, many elves. I just love the language you use. I've only read the first two chapters so far, but I'll be back for more!

Wow!
This is Brilliant!
When I first started to read this I was a little concerned at the believability of Gimli and Legolas so readily getting into a debate, let alone wager about a topic as personal as Haldir's sexual preferences, but as the plot thickened not only did that fear wash away but somewhere along the line I was completely ensnared by the characters mischief!
I love the interaction between Gimli and Legolas, they are an odd couple at the best of times...and yet they fit. And you have captured it perfectly...in particular when Legolas is reminded of Haldir's prejudice of dwarves and his subtle yet clear reply and train of though. Gimli announcing his presence with intent in the stairwell and the quote from the movie were also delightful.
I cannot express myself enough at how brilliant the little that Rumil contributed to the plot was...Haldir sleep-talks?! Hah, and everyone knows except poor Haldir, I feel bad for him. But it did make me have a giggle fit on the bus when I re-read it. The mere thought is enough to bring a smile to my face...and this is the reason he has been subtly kept in Lorien? Aaaaah.
Estel being put on the spot, well it's all his own fault anyway, was great to read and had me in stitches when his father and wife were then thrown into the mixing pot. And now Celeborn wife are here...wonder why Elrond did not want them there? And is that why he is in Gondor, because he's hiding? Interesting.
Looking forward to the next part!
