This is so beautiful. The entire story was emotionally gripping and vividly descriptive. Leaves of Gold is a gem in the LotR fandom. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful work of fiction with us. I hope to read more of your works in the future.
I'm not sure if you knew this, but chapter 4 is not posted completely. The majority of it appears to have been cut out. Was that intentional?

I've already told you this in e-mail, but then I found you here too, and decided to say this publicly. :-)
I just want to tell you how wonderful I think it is. Your characterizations of Legolas and Aragorn especially are just wonderful--though the background characters are also nicely done. The way you use language is just lovely--I'm a huge fan of people who know how to create magic with words in such a fashion! Thanks for making such a beautiful story available for all of us to read.
As to your request after your generous permission to use the Rilke translation in a story I'm working on: you can see what's done of it here: http://jastaelf.tripod.com/royalmirkwood/id11.html The chapter with Rilke in it will be out soon.

Hey, I can't believe this story hasn't got any reviews yet. I already reviewed it on ff.net, but I guess I should do it again.
This story was absolutely one of the most brilliant fics I've ever read! The whole idea was awesome, well presented and developed, you're writing style is superb and you manage to truly fascinate your readers with this amazing piece.
I hope you find more readers here too. And hopefully they'll give you the credit you deserve.
