I enjoyed the heck out of this story - the characters are well written and your descriptions are lovely. But your typos almost drove me crazy as sometimes I couldn't figure out what you were trying to say.

Hi,
just read Heart's Desire over the weekend, in one go. I simply couldn't put it down.
You can carry a tale AND put it across; it was such a pleasure to get immersed in this.
What makes you stand out is that you are able [as a given, without conscious effort?] to avoid all the pitfalls of:
excessive fluffiness/drama/emotional rollercoaster: your characters experience angst, joy, despair in a heartfelt, believable manner, I can buy into this, lol;
forcing a m/m relationship into a m/f behaviour/expectancy pattern: no brave elf-knight in shining armour vs. a fawning sissy-elf with fluttering eyelids. There maleness is respected and why would it stand in the way of their love/relationship? You handled that very well!
Dare I get my hopes up, as it said 'Part 1'?
Orophin did point out the hardships Haldir might face in this relationship; the Mirror showed Gildor getting cosy with Imladris' twins, and... Legolas still has to lose his cherry! Somehow I don't believe Glorfindel will be able to stay away for 15 years or remain chaste!
Mirkwood's Prince might get jealous, despair, elope?! or simply crumble before temptation closer to home?
In short, it would be a highlight to see 'Heart's Desire, Part 2, Chaper 1' pop up on AFF.
Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiratinimunimue

Ah, lovely!
Though I have some doubts about Haldir's adaptation to Imladris...

That was beautiful, Ryo! A perfect ending for an absolutely incredible story. I can't wait for part two...but I don't like the prediction-like remarks Orophin was making, not at all!
*SO*, I propose a trade, author to author...I will give you Haldir in black leather and kohl, with 'Las tied to the headboard, if you promise not to rip them apart- and break my heart- in the next installment. Deal? **grin** **snicker**

"Standing up and clapping" Bravo Ryo! Outstanding ending to such a lovely story, "sigh" I am so in love with Gildor. I noticed it said part one, is that a clue that we may have more of Gildor and Haldir to enjoy?

Excellent story, involving some of my favorite elves. Do you still plan on writing a Part 2? I certainly hope so, I wait inpatiently to read it.

That was absolutely incredible, Ryo! It was just...incredible. I have typed and deleted several different comments, and frankly, none of them did this chapter- or this fic- justice. It it is painfully poignant, breathtakingly sweet, and very, very hot. Wonderful, wonderful job!

I've been meaning to review this story for some time, before I left for the holidays. I'm back now, and I must say I tremendously enjoy your work and your characterization of Gildor and Haldir.
And I must add I did not see it coming for Haldir! Well thought :) ! For a few seconds I was afraid this was going to turn into the "Perfect Solution" (and I don't really like fics where all conflicts are solved by "Oh, you're my dead lover, so I love you too. I guess", which I find insulting for the Elf in question, and I loved Haldir's reaction). But thank goodness you imagined that neither are too happy about it ;)
So I hope you're still enjoying yourself writing this story, and I hope to see more of it.

Ruo, awesome chapter! Damn you hit every emotional high note in that one! I just want to take Gildor and shake some sense into him! Way to go Haldir, he is no pushover, but what was up with those words he said, memory?
