Thanks. I needed this chapter. I was just pondering on the thought that Legolas might be insecure about his physical appearance despite his increased comeliness. It's something some pregnant women go through. And of course, rely on Elrohir to assure him of his undiminished love and lust. I'm just surprised that he had done it even with pregnant females while he was still in Middle Earth. Could they be elves or humans? So Gilwen was not the first that he committed adultery with? Be that as it may, I definitely love this interlude and the little insecurity Elrohir felt because Legolas has been skirting from their bed. How sweet. I hope you inject more of their tender moments in succeeding chapters. I'm a total sucker for them. And maybe a little action or suspense? He-he you're the boss. Thanks again for this chapter. My weekend is happy.

To Laur: I'll try to get back to you via email. You have quite a number of questions.

To CE: Sorry about the stereotypes. I based most of these incidents on my own pregnancies. All three of them.

To lego lover: Human women not Elves. I used the early and middle centuries of the last millennium as my b for for Middle-earth culture. It wasn't unusual for prostitutes in olden times to go on working even if they were heavily pregnant nor was it a rarity for wives to cheat on their husbands when many marriages were arranged. And I think I established earlier in the series that the Twins were pretty wild in their youth. So, no, Gilwen was not the first married woman Elrohir slept with but she was the only one he slept with after he bound himself to Legolas.

My goodness, it's Oct!! !! Legolas is almost due, is'n he?!!!
I am very currious as to how you are going have him deliver the baby(s).
As you intended, this chapter is turning out to be such fun, light and warm hearted story.
I'm enjoying so very much. It is often rare that you get read about the lives of elves in Valinor after the war of the ring. It is very refreshing. I wish I could write more constructive reviews... sorry(english is not my first language and it's 3 o'clock in the morning...). I'll try harder next time, I promise.
But I would like to ask you few questions. I understand that you wrote this story as well as the upcoming " Twilight Tale" long before you started posting on this site and others. How long ago was it? Are you still writing? or easteast planning to? You don't have to answer if you're not comfortable. It just makes me wonder, you know, it's hard to find really good and well written fan-fic. ( nowadays especially since the trilogy is finally over) I just have to wonder ..Where were you all these times?! LOL
I'm sad that the story is ending, but what a happy ending it would be! I can hardly waite!!
Thank you so very much for this wonderful story! I am completely captivated by it!
Thnk you!

You write beautifully. The way you paint with words makes every chapter a delight for me. I have recommended your story [saga] to many. I hope you have much success in any literary endeavor you pursue.

Food cravings... yet another stereotype. *sighs*

Still, if you had to do it, you did it in a somewhat interesting and amusing fashion, involvthe the hobbits (surly and all at being dragged out of bed).

I do like the continued commentary on how the Elves at large regard the pregnancy. Do I detect a hint of a threat there from certain males? Like another reviewer, I could almost wish seeing that one lascivious Elf (Bregon?) make a reappearance.

Delurking to Distribute Praise where Due

I must admit that I was a little wary of the ending when it came around to Elladan's twins' births. It seemed that the inevitable ending of the story would be MPreg (although I didn't see the rebirth arc coming until a little later than I usually spot things). MPreg makes me nervous, although admittedly my anxiety was mixed with excitement, because I've seen it done horribly so many times. You've heard this all before, and so I shall not bore you. To be brief, my first reaction to the MPreg was "Oh, no..." However, I remembered that I could trust you. I'd been through 29 arcs with you and I hadn't yet been disappointed (although I must accept that I was a tinge baffled by Maeglin). So despite past "train wreck" experiences with other of my favorites, I decided to trust in your skill. Yay! I am most fortunate to have not despaired overmuch.

Part thirty is a beautiful, light, "rewarding" way to end your series. Especially since I read all through twenty-nine with a perpetual lump in my throat. Elrohir and Legolas's love is amazing and heartbreaking at once. Their interaction continually leaves me breathless. Their unparalleled intensity leaves me light-headed and speechless. I hope you'll go into more detail about their bond (and about how Elrohir received such favor from Namo). The scientist in me yearns for an opportunity to dissect their bond! ;) Does Gilwen's poison have any other, unknown effects?

Also, I'm a bit curious why some characters seem to have dissapeared, and I'm a little disappointed that others haven't made appearances, other than mention. Will we get to see more of Galadriel, Celeborn, Glorfindel, Erestor, and Ellandan's twins (beloveds included)? Have Brethildor and Melthoron any part to play? Is Oropher around? What about Elros? He was mentioned.... :) :) I'm also a little curious about Legolas's allure in the Blessed Realm. Perhaps I'm reading a bit too much into things (it's been known to happen quite a bit!) but it seems unnatural to me.

On another note, I so far love the way you\goingoing on with the MPreg. It's not natural, and Legolas isn't very happy, and really Elrohir seemed to have thought it was a universal joke! (Sometimes I feel that my life has taken that turn, so I can definitely sympathize.) I also like the way this event is viewed by most other elves: a miraculous favor by the Valar, something to be envied.... and even more like the "salacious" response that others have: something to be used; "ripe for anyone's picking" indeed. Will this cause any dangers/troubles/confrontations later on? I hope we'll get to see a third response: the scorn/ridicule that Legolas previously feared. It would be an interesting look into that superiority complex that some elves (read: Merenwe) obviously have.

Quick question: Is this pregnancy a one-time deal, or will the reunited lovers have to look into some form of birth control?

Well, I'm going to let you go by saying: Thanks for sharing this wonderful story with us. It's a classic in my heart, and has been known to cheer me up on some of my worst days, and I'ad qad quite a bit recently. Continue with the good work so far as thirty is concerned. I'm looking forward to Twilight with bated breath (already!). You've got a great talent for keeping me on the edge of my seat. If you have any original works posted somewhere (or are planning any) I'd really like a heads up! Thanks.

Laur,
Whose fingers are crossed for Twin Boys and a second round of Twin Girls in the future!
