It looks as if I spoke too soon, and for that I apologize. I'm looking forward to seeing the younger generation of twins develop their personalities even more, and I'm sure Lindir will finally get his desire with so many people on his side. But I know Merenwe won't go easily! It will be interesting to see what Nimeithel has to say about all of this.

This story is really getting to be very interesting. I agree with the others. You have such capacity to spin so many interesting tales on our protagonists whether they be the central focus of the story or not. I am saddened that we are in the homestretch of this series but I'm hoping you would write more on them. I don't know if I'mll all a devoted A/L fan. My preference has since changed because of this wonderful series. I glad to see that Legolas no longer feels insecure about his "lower status" than Elrohir. I'm hearing Maeglin all over again. Now there's a promising excitement to come!

Oh, I think I strongly dislike Merenwe already and this part of the tale has just begun. And I'm so glad that you brought Lindir into your wonderful story; he is one of my favorites.

I like the parallels being drawn among the generations of male Elves; it will be interesting to see how the relationship between Lindir and Elros plays out. Something about the younger twins' characterization seems off to me, though. They seem rather immature and one-dimensional, which I guess is understandable for their age, but I don't think they quite have the depth the older Elves do. All we ever see them do is pull pranks and misbehave, so I hope they grow up a little in this story. It's also rather distracting that they call their uncles "Las and Rohir." That's almost as disturbing (to me) as someone calling him "Leggy." I doubt Elves used nicknames in that way, and it may be part of the reason they seem so foolish and dislikable to me, as if they're so young they can't fully pronounce their uncles' names. It will be interesting to see if Lindir and Elros bond, because there are only another 40-odd years before Aragorn dies and Legolas sails, which I imagine will cause the departure of a lot of the Elves in Rivendell. I also wonder if Elros will get any advice in the art of making love to another male... I'm sure Elrohir and Legolas would be only too willing to help him!
