To Canon Lover,
Before anything else, thank you. Re: your questions - when I wrote G&I, the canon I followed as strictly as possible was what can be found in the three books (The Hobbit, LoTR and The Silmarillion). I decided not to consult other sources too much so long as I could write a fairly plausible story. Hence, the non-use of Elphir which admittedly I found bland and too similar to Elrohir, as well as the general disregard for the genealogy found in ‘The Peoples of Middle-earth’.
However, while writing “Hallowed Fate”, I developed a great fondness for Imrahil and the urge to re-write G&I where he and his family are concerned. I have decided to revise the se fro from Part 20 – ‘Calenlass: Heart of a Prince’ onwards to bring the Dol Amroth part of the story closer in line with the information contained in PoME. Thanks for the nudge. I needed it to make up my mind on this.
As for the water temperature, I have visited a few beaches where the water remained cold even during summer, particularly those that faced the open sea rather than protected coves. And, no, I’ve never compared Belfalas to the Mediterranean. Middle-earth has always struck me as a larger, non-island version of England. I hope this clears things up.

Spanking great chapter. It's good to see Legolas acting responsibly and positively for once. I especially liked the fact that Elrohir was around to witness his display of devotion; that was special. Also, the fact thou aou adhere so adamantly and consistently to canon is wonderful, and a relief.
Superb writing, as is to be expected, and another happy chapter in the lives of Greenleaf and Imladris. Keep it sexy, yo.

Sorry, felt like nitpicking today. Not that it really deserves such treatment. It feels almost like a sacrilege, as your story arc is a true masterpiece. However, I got the impression that you want to stick to canon whenever possible, and some pedigrees just do not fit. Hence some questions.
Aren't Imrahil's sons named Elphir, Erchirion & Amrothos? Elphir is the eldest anus hus heir. Lothiriel being the only daughter (there goes lady Ilien, bride of Eldarion). My source is Encyclopedia of Arda. The same entry gives Adrahil only two children: Finduilas and Imrahil (there goes our villain Gilwen).
I am also somewhat confused by Elrohir's confession of sleeping with someone of Elven heritage in Dol Amroth. The elven blood in the line of Princes of Dol Amroth is supposed to come from Mithrellas. Unless you count their Numenorean ancestry as being elvenitagitage. You did say early Third Age. Otherwise it would have to be after 1981 TA, by that time Elrohir and Legolas had already become lovers. Yet you stated elsewhere that Elrohir never took a male lover after Legolas.
Lastly. Dol Amroth is rather southern location, I'd guess something like Mediterranean. You say it is summer. Yet the water is described as cold and bracing. Really minor thing, I know.
If this does not make sense, I hope you can delete the whole review.

Oh this was such a charming chapter in the saga! Legolas was so awesome! I love how you have him so totally unawares of the regards he sometimes attracts due to his beauty, and how it's up to Elrohir to tell him. That is such a leggy thing to do. ^_^ But, that's why we love him. I also like how you are handling his sea longing. I was wondering when that would come about. I also like how Imrahil & his son saw their relationship and their discussion of it. It was quite profound. As well as the prince's regret and how he was glad his seduction hadn't worked. I also like how you explained why he hadn't realized his ring was a wedding one, but thought it was simply a signet ring. A small detail many may have omitted. I for one hadn't even thought about their wedding rings. ^_^ Another great job. Ah, a playful romp in the sand. *drools*

Another great story. I'm glad Lego is finally "getting it."
It's been 2 days now with no updates. I'm having withdrawls! You've spoilt me, and I expect daily updates (I love you Eresse)
PLEASE hurry -- I'm getting weak, I can't sleep, I think I'm fading!
I'm looking forward to the next installment. Lover's quarrels? Haven't they had enough alr? I? I hope it's Elrohir's turn to make Legolas suffer ;-)
I'm really excited about Table Manners. When El sets his mind to something --- WATCH OUT!

That was beautiful!! Amazing how you can use a simple story plot and wield it into something so incredibly moving! I will definitely be devastated when this series finally comes to an end, I'm just loving it so much!

Every installment gets better and better. It is heartfelt to see Legolas finally understand and return Elrohir's love. This is without a doudt the most wonderful love story out there. Has been my favorite since I discovered it some months ago. Your creativity, beautiful words, and dedication to those two elves is inspiring....
Thank you for a wonderful story!
