Chapter 8.... Ai, this is truly getting grim! Elessar is dead, and that after suffering/slavery (?) in the Kingdom of Men? Glorfindel has gone over Sea? Everyone has been alienated by Legolas? He is condemned to remain on the Hither Shores? Ai!

I truly would like a happy ending... or at least a not unhappy ending. It is certainly looking less and less likely.

Apart from the content, I would like to comment that the writing quality seems to have improved over the last few chapters, with respect to writing mechanics. There are fewer typos, errors of grammar/spelling, errors (presumably) from cut-n-paste editing. I don't know what the problem was in some of the earlier chapters (it wasn't extreme, but it was enough to be annoying), but it seems to have been fixed, and that gladdens me. A well told tale should not be marred by these sorts of things.

This is so good, but so so sad! Please give us the two endings because I can only enjoy the angst when I know there is happy ending.
Poor Legolas! You write his pain so well I can practically feel it.
I can't wait for more from the third age to watch his relationship with Glorfindel progress.

Hi. I just wanted to tell you that your story is so deep. I really like reading it. I just hope Legolas won't have a sad end. Please just tell me that you're not going to kill the poor elf at the end or make him to lost his hope or something... I need to know before continue reading it.

Well I am glad that Legolas is away from the Mirkwood bullies that kept beating him up but he certainly seems to want out of life. He doesn't know that Elrond and Glorfindel would be very nice to him. Much nicer than his father anyway. He was like a Timex watch, he took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. Gracious did they ever make hambuger out of him.
The Imladris group needs to haul him out of that river, clean him up, put him on a horse and get him to safety. I am thrilled that the Mirkwood group didn't manage to kill him. I want Thral tol to be disappointed just as much as I want Glorfindel to finally have a loving relationship with this poor prince. giggle

ch 6 - Glorfindel's character is really well done in this. I love how much time you spend on his description, and in hea head space. And in regards to your author's note; I agree that this is not too closely linked to the storyline of Feud. I have been reading that story from the get go, and though there are similar themes of fallen grace, this is a piece all its own, clearly. I'm so glad you updated. I'm loving every second of it!
