I read this for the second time today. I still feel chills thinking about Middle Earth. I think I stayed on the paternalism in this story more the second time than I did the first. I wonder if men could ever really protect us and if they did, would we accept it?
I think we like the idea, but we are human beings and want to run free too. It is hard for me to see where the balance lies. Good story though. Better than most others I have read.

I want to compliment you on this story. I had not read a Hadlir story up 'til now where Haldir was clueless on how to an 'innocent' woman.
You endeared me with the princess story where virginity is sacred but okay if not universal. You were able to navigate a line that most nc17 fic doesn't bother to address: what is sacred about clinging to virginity while trying to explore what sexuality is all about?
I think you did well. I have been trying to figure out why you turned this shunned woman, Lea, into a female slaver. Lea was a strange feature for this story so full of light. Is it that women are divided?
I am going to make it my business to read the rest of your fic to see if it is a theme you keep exploring.
Wonderful job.

I must say this was one of the best stories I have ever read, when Lea took Mina tears came to my eyes! I honestly feel you have a knack for writing and hope to read some more of your stories in the future. I have not enjoyed reading a fic since I read one written by my ex-boyfriend. The emotion and turmoil you described helped this story become a fine one indeed. Reading this has inspired me to finish my 3 I started I only hope they turn out as well as yours did. -Angela

*sigh* AMAZING and UTTERLY BEAUTIFUL!!! I thoroughly enjoyed your story so much I cannot even begin to tell you just HOW much. I find it almost impossible to believe this was your first LOTR fanfiction. Please continue writing and if possible, give us another wonderful story. At any rate, you are VERY talented, your pace and style are so vivid they take the reader right into the heart of the story, right into the heart of ME. Congratulations and thanks for a wonderful, wonderful read!
