This is one fine piece of writing . Easily one of th best "amature" pieces I have read , and worthy of publication . I look forward to reading the rest . You have captured the essence of the people created by Tolkein perfectly , and my heart aches for poor Legolas . I bow to your talent !

Thank you to everyone who has left reviews. To answer a few of the comments. Don't worry, the story won't be over any time soon. We still have the war of the ring to get through, Legolas doesn't leave for Valinor until after Aragorn dies 120 years later, and the story doesn't actually start until 200 years after that. No, I'm not going to fill in every last detail, but I am going to fill in quite a few of them. Also, I am not a professional writer, although I do hope to eventually get my original stories published. I have, however, been writing for 20 years, so that gives me some facility with the process. Again, thanks for all the feedback.

I was away for a time and I come back to find a wonderful written story waiting for me... =) It's wonderful, yet so very sad! Poor, poor Legolas! :..(
I suppose your story is going to end rather soon, isn't it? Sad thought too... :..(
But before it does I have to repeat myself and say, that your writing is just wonderful - it's so believable and one can feel with your characters... - it's nearly perfect! ^_^

Oh!! Poor Legolas! This is so sad! But...such a good story! This is so well written, and well thought out. Can you give him a happy ending ? I am waiting with baited breath to see what develops.....
