I generally don't write reviews. I esspecially don't write reviews for 6 year old stories featuring odd pairings that initially just get raised eye-brow responses from the most rabid fangirls. To write something good enough to force me to stop being lazy and actually comment on it is an amazing accomplishment.

This was so touching and so imersive that I just couldn't not leave a review, even if the author herself is no longer checking this site or updating. I have always loved all of the members of the Fellowship just as Tolkien wrote them, but this story (and the others in the series) do such an amazing job of exploring Gimli's character that I desparately want this to be canon. Please leave this up forever, because I know will be coming back to re-read it every time I catch one of the movies or have an inkling to re-read the books themselves.

if this were really the end, i would be so sad! but it is a beautiful ending to this part. i love the way they restate their committment to one another no matter what obstacles may arise. their love is strong enough to overcome it all, and they are determined to keep what both recognise is so rare a thing.

the dwarves reactions were great, loved it when legolas just strolls into the room and sits down. i like naur and can see he will be a great ally for them.

there just are no words fine enough to express how much joy this story gives me! though i have read it before, i find i am enjoying this even more this time. these two and their love are written better than any other love story i have read in a long, long time. thanks so much, sarah.
