Finished this a couple of days ago and felt I had to say Thank You. I enjoyed this story very much (am already lined up to read the rest of your stories), but thought I should comment here - this is where I was directed to find your stories, after all, and I'm very glad this was rec'd. On a simple level, it reinforces some of my own thoughts about Legolas, young (for an elf as presented in LOTR), and somehow pre-destined for the Fellowship, and also adds to the slashy side (why would such a relationship be actively encouraged by Thranduil and Elrond?), above and beyond these (very appealing) ideas, there is a sense of plot - a real tale. Your logic for the binding is wonderful, and doesn't feel as if it is either *too* unusual or *too* common. The character's dialogue was lovely and lyrical. I'm off to read more :)

This is absolutely brilliant. The characters and their feelings feels so real and true that I'm not sure if it's reality or fiction. Great!

Oh yeah, I forgot; The scene where Elrond first meet Legolas is adorable! Legolas was just too cute! I wanna eat him!

Well of course we never doubted that thinguld uld turn out for both couples but of course we need to go through the whole process to enjoy it the most.
You really let out all the stops for the penultimate loves scenes. You did great. They were very sweet, sensuous and satisfying. For the reader as well as the participants.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It was a good read. giggle

Loving it, loving it. The relationship between Legolas & Elrohir you've built is simply breathtaking. Though it would nice if you provided translations for some of the elvish used at the bottom of your chapters. More please. |^_^|

Hello, I just started reading this fic. I read all 6 chapters today. Glorfindel has me so pissed off, I am barely able to stand it. His actions (or lack of action) toward Elladan is reprehensible. At the end of chapter 6, my heart was breaking and I cried like a baby. Please post the next chapter soon. I need to know that Glorfindel comes to his senses and saves Elladan. Please tell me everything will be okay. I'm so depressed though I am h tha that Elrohir and Legolas found their happiness. By the way, this is a great fic. Love your writing and hope you will continue.
Take care,
Teri

Wow what an angst fest. I am so loving this. Very AU but great. Nicely written and very emotional.
I had to laugh when Elrohir didn't know the captain was Legolas, "I have come to claim you," Prince of Mirkwood. Very nice reunion between the two of them. Elladan knew who the captain was. I guess Elrohir was just too tired and worried to realize.
So the Woodland King was going to Romeo and Juliet Elrohir and Legolas. Not very nice.
And Elladan is fading despite Erestor's best efforts. Sigh. I 'm glad that Elladan was awake for Glorfindel's confessions. So now after all that he feels his only comfort and peace will come from fading to the Hall of Waiting. He'll be all alone. Nana won't even be there. He does deserve some easing of his burden though.
Elrohir and Legolas just couldn't wait any longer. Snicker. Lovely love scene beneath the willow and I think Adar will probably figure out something has changed.
Elladan's little speach of reconciliation and acceptance was very nice. I know Glorfindel sees this as taming the wildness in Elladan and feels that ibad bad thing but it just shows Elladan's level of maturity now. He can now see beyond the mere physical and see love for what it really is. He may not agree, and I for one don't, but Glrofindel's feelings and attitudes must be understood and acknowledged whether agreed with or not. Glorfindel does love him very much just not in the way Elladan needs. Hopefully with losing Elladan a real possibility we can only hope that Glorfindel's feelings can change after all this time.
They are now reconciled for the ceremony and until Elladan fades froief.ief. This will be interesting. I can't wait for an update but of course I have to. giggle

Thank you for the story. I know how many people hate deathfics but I feel this should be one. The ending would be the most effective and devastating to us readers.
On a happier note I loved all the scenes with Erestor, he is such an underused character in LOTR.
