::screams:: AAAAHHHHHH!!!! You are such a great writer! Angst! I can feel it oozing from my computer screen... Such a great chap with Elrond's inner turmoil! Wish he would have let Glorfindel speak, though! :) Would have made this a happy realization when Celebrian came to visit him in his study. Celebrian must be so unhappy to think that the father of her children does not love her- that would be unbearable to me if that happened. Please stop this suffering soon! It's killing me to read this, but it's *so* good!

You know, as I was reading this (greedily and with my mouth hanging open, I might add), the horrible thought started to dawn on me, that you are actually very much capable of prolonging their suffering onwards for years and centuries...Arg. I just wanted to bang their heads together, but you write the angst and the absolutely ridiculous misunderstanding so believably.
So, once again, I'm screaming with frustation and pleading for an update soon...

Really enjoying this story. I like Elrond and it is nice to see a story that is not Slash.

get him, arryn! get him!
god, how STUPID can they BE?!?!?! *smacks glorfindel* damn his not just interrupting elrond!!! that stupid blonde thing could have spared those two so much grief... but i WAS ready to start beating my head on the desk in the "rape" scene (in the words of elrond) when he realized that she was drunk, and was saying that he shouldn't be taking advantage of her, etc etc etc. i mean GOD man, GET A CLUE!!! how can ANYONE who is supposedly so WISE be so STUPID!!!!
lovely chapter, as always. i can always count on you to get my spirits up. or get me enraged beyond measure-- i'm not really sure which. possibly both at once.

Excellent story you've got going, here. As someone has alreaentientioned, there are hardly any Elrond stories out there, and even fewer with Celebrian in them! I've always loved Elrond, and I was very pleased to stumble across this piece. Please inueinue soon, this is very well written, and I'm eager to see what happens next. Oh, btw, I love your portrayal of Glorfindel. He's a hoot!

Wow. This is really, really well written, Losse! You manage to get in all sorts of interesting little details about Imladris and some of its inhabitants, but you do it very subtly, so we don't at all feel like we'eingeing treated to a travelogue. And, sheesh, do you ever *torture* us with what's going on in Elrond and Celebrian's heads! You have written them, with all their idiotic pride, so believably that I can easily see how you could drag out their misery to Valinor. (but please don't do that, I think I'd explode from the frustration)
Why, oh why couldn't Celebrian have answered something like, "You are not *forcing* me" when Elrond makes his little speech? That might have brought the barriers down right there! *aims a kick at Celebrian*
And the conversation with Glorfindel in the garden was just precious, especially when Celebrian asks him if Elrond and Gil-galad were lovers... *snort*
Excellent stuff -- I hope the Muse behaves so that you can ghe nhe next chapter up soon.

I'll keeping ing until you get sick of me. ;) I love it.
For me, I can get very nitpicky about Elrond & Celebrían (I'm sure you feel the same), and subsequently I'm always very happy when I find a story that leaves nothing to nitpick. This most definitely is one.
Don't you dare stop writing it. :D

It was worth the wait, this was a great chapter!
Aren't those two blind? Great angst.
But I beg you, please, don't take so long to update.
