It took me time to read it because of my eyes, I think I have photophobia and I am having troubles to stay in front of the computer lately. But I read it today! Hey, I loved Tassar in this chapter. He is so cool, even drunk. I love him.
Very said the tale Legolas told Gimli and it can happen with some people I know. Though. I loved this cer, er, very nice. I thought Legolas' brothers had killed the elf. But no. 'Ada says elves don't threat each other.' That was the best!!!

i have been following this tale since like chapter 7 and i find it rather enjoyable, i love how you've written both gimli and legolas, i also like the fact that you are rounding out your version of these beloved characters, by allowing Gimli to grow as a person and to futher understand the firstborn, to figure out his father, Gloin ,had a onesided memory of the hike through Mirkwood, so long ago. Legolas, is also evolving, and you have given him quite the background, and you made him with such a sesitive side too, , I am very much looking forward to the upcoming chapters, and to when legolas and gimli visit the kingdom under the mountion (i have your story saved to my favorites folder) Please keep up the wonderful work.

Gimli and Legolas relationship is so very well thought out and rich in texture. You have created their bond so very believeable. I like the fact that they are learning to communicate so well, hell, you could write relationship maunals for couples!

one of my most favorite chapters, because gimli tkes up the role as legolas' champion so completely and helps legolas come to terms with a very bitter time of his life. a simply beautiful chapter! thank you.

I am ashamed of myself. I let my prejudices of the pairing keep from enjoying your story, up until now that is. I spent many hours last evening reading through to chapter 29 and I am astonished by the beautiful love story you have created! To comment on each individual chapter would take more room than AFF allows, but let me just say that your attention to detail, the rich imagereateeated by your words, and the care and love that each characters has been given is truly inspiring. Thank you for broadening my horizons and for such an enjoying evening spent reading your words.

Oh Sarah! You delight me with this fic! How can you create such a beautiful story? It is great, I loved to read them reading the letters from others from the Fellowship, Gimli's concern, Legolas' joyful comments and in the end... the wonderful idea of the picture! Wonderful chapter, as always.

another magnficent chpter! it was great getting the update on the other members of the fellowship and the scene where the two sat writing together was great as well. now we need some gifted artist out there to become tasar's vessel a moment and give us all a look at this portrait of the couple! that would just be grand. thank you for mentioning me! ou know how very much i love this story and that it has become a tremendous influence in my life, as has its author!

**shakes head** Still the best Legolas/Gimli I have ever read...you have completely overcome my 'no dwarf' bias, somehow! Very well written...I love the way you portray Gimli's growing understanding of Legolas' home and world. I am very interested to see how Gimli's family and friends react...a potential sequel, I hope?
