As much as I symphatize with Erestor, calling Glorfindel 'Noldo' was a bit below his standard. That was uncalled for, but it does reflect very well how hurt Erestor is...he is so hurt and angry that he just lashes out without a second thought.
Very good chapter (as always :) ), so much emotions going on here and you have captured it very well...am I going to make you blush now *bg*
And, as always again, I am looking forward to the next chapter.

Well, I am amazed. The little quartet had good advice to give and Glorfindel took it. One thing about straight talking people when they finally get it right they just lay it on the line. So now the ball is in Erestor's court. So do you think they have a form of tennis in middle earth? Well, no matter.
Poor Erestor. So hurt and now to learn he could have had what he wanted so long ago if it hadn't been for Glorfindel's naivete. Well at least when they finally get together they can make up for lost time. Sometimes things are sweeter when you have waited because you don't take them for granted. giggle

You know, I really love the way that you don't end such revelations as Glorfindel's on a happy note. The suffering and actions of Erestor are quite understandable, and all too often do authors resort to characters unrealistically reacting to certain situations such as these. In my opinion, if Erestor had readily forgiven Glorfindel and the two becamlovelovely, dovey' without any confrontation, the effect of your story might have been slighted. As I said, I think that in having Erestor reject Glorfindel you made the right decision.
Anyways, I'm quite fond of Erestor and Glorfindel, so these chapters are a real treat for me. Especially with you writing them.
On a side note; I've never really been fon fond of Arwen, but somehow I feel inexplicably drawn to your Arwen. Grrr...how did you do it?
As always, another wonderful chapter.

Terrific next day meeting bet Glo Glorfindel as the embarassed one, and Erestor as the unexpectedly pleasant and secretly hopeful one. Despite all his experience and age, Glorfindel has not learned to be more diplomatic or sensitive in saying certain things or reading people well.
I agree totally with Glorfi in in him not getting involved with an under-aged hero-worshipping elfling like Erestor all those years ago. Although, it would seem to me that Glorfindel would have to deal with many hero-worshipping pupils who fall in love with him over the years. He should have known how to handle it in a more gentle manner, unless Erestor was his first to deal with this situation.
Update soon please!

Some elves obviously do not have a way with words. They don't know how to let other elves down easy. Glorfindel is such an elf. What a mess he made of things.
As far as the four youngsters helping, this is the blind leading the blind. Someone has to straighten these two out but I hate to think of the trials all the adults are going to have to face before things mellow out around there.
Poor Erestor, nursing a broken heart for all these many years. So much pain and angst. I love it. More please. giggle

Great job, as usual. I'm normally not a big fan of Glorfindel/Erestor but this had me laughing and wanting to know what's going to become of it. Also, what exactly did the twins put in the nector? ;)

A nice inter her here! I am a fan of Glorfindel/Erestor things...even though we really don't know anything about Erestor (he just has a few lines in 'The council of Ed')d') and yet I have formed a complete mental picture of him, solely based on fanfics, I now realise!
Anyway, I like this and look forward to the next chapter.
