Such a beautiful and extremely well-written story. I could smell the roast boar and imagine the lilting voices of the Elves in song and revelry, for your descriptions are quite vivid and detailed. Enjoyed the snippets of Elven history through the eyes of Celeborn, showing the bitterseet longing he feels for the olden days. That Celeborn is held in such trance by the imagery of thee-mae-making between Rumil and his wander mate, and that he submits to the ministrations of Gildor on an almost subconscious level, is an unusual evocation, which works quite well in your tale. This is a lovely side-step from the mainstream characters of fandom, as Gildor and his merry troupe are not well-know subjects, especially here on AFF.NET, where Legolas and Aragorn hold reign. Enchanting and lovely, thank you for sharing.
