Cas! Hey... i'm you you liked it and i'm flattered that you find the ending in improvement from my previous installment. Tswerswer your question, yes, there will be a sequel but Legolas's story is no more. It is finished. Now i'm going to focus on Thranduil and a certain Elven Lord of Rivendel :P Should be interesting, no? After all, since many have developed a taste for that pairing, i think i will cater to their needs:P

HHS: Lol... yeah in this story they didn't get together. But in the sequel they did! They met up again in Lothlorien and then again during the battle at Helms deep... and erm... they both died and went to Elvish heaven together with Boromir in tow :) But then you already know this... *heh heh* It's in the sequel called Warrior Elf *grin*

“I’ve never told him how much I loved his mother nor did I mention my love for the child she bore me,” - This phrase was beautiful... it expressed all the emotions the King had! I am reaaaaally sad it is over, your fic was beautifully written and the story was amazing. Thanks for sharing this. The most sad thing was Legolas leaving his father behind... Great job.

Hey giggle... i'm glad that you liked the story. As to your question about Thranduil, he is a reluctant ruler who had to see the death of his son and father during the seige of Baradur. As an Elf, he couldn't understand death and as a proud ruler, he doesn't understand defeat. Thus, i think all this adds to him being "emotionally constipated" as you have said. I think war changes people and hardened their heart towards everything and everyone. Legolas looked like him. a replica of him. A reflection as i have said of the things he wanted to have but never canhe ahe ability to find joy in the simplest things. So it's hard for him to tell people that he cares for them.

It may be too late for him to tell him of his love for Legolas because Legolas hadn't had his father's affection ever since the day he was born. But i think it's good for both Elves as Legolas matured in that manner and thranduil starts to understand emotions better :P

Heh... i hope i've answered your questions! Enough talk now. Thanks once again! look out for my new series entitled "Whispers in the Wind" featuring Legolas/Aragorn at http://www.nimnastian.net/nessa

Oh so much angst. I love it. It is so sad that Legolas feels the only one who loved him was his mother and she left him. He feels now that he has no reason to live.
His father is really emotionally constipated isn't he. Couldn't tell his wife, couldn't tell Legolas' mother, and can't tell Legolas that he loves them. He is in a real strait-jacket. I'd like to know why. He must have had one messed up childhood.
Haldir to the rescue. But of course we know that they can't stay together. Haldir has to go protect the Golden Wood and Legolas will be left alone again with no one. Sad.
Just one chapter to go. OK. giggle

So Thranduil finally was able to tell Legolas that he had love his mother and also loves Legolas. Do you think it is too little too late? Legolas didn't seem to react very positively to the news. Has he lost too much to ever respond to love? Poor little elf.
At least he forgave Haldir and going back to Mirkwood he will have lots to do he is a warrior after all. He can go kill orcs spidspiders and feel much better. Life does go on and one day he will see his mother again. That will make him very happy. Thank you for sharing this with us. giggle

Man that's a long time. But I'd say it's worth the weight. I'd like to see how Aragorn first met Legolas and back stories of the like. >_< I won't cry like I did at the Warrior Elf story ^^;;

Absolutely beautiful. Beautifuly written... The sadness that Legolas held was very well expressed. And the king's grief... wow... that was beautiful. You will take that long to update? So will be like them without your story :-(
Very good!!!

Oh so much angst. Sometimes people really do feel that the dead have lied to them when of course they didn't want to go at all. So sad.
I will look forward to your next and last chapter when you get around to it. How hateful of RL to bother you at a time like this.
I can't wait to see how Haldir fits into all this. Hope he is nice to L. giggle
