I like the story. I assume that the "white handled knife" was a ritual tool? If it is then it is actually a black handled knife. Being a kitchen witch she would have a white handled knife as well, just not on her alter.

Do I detect a bit of writing a la Nora Roberts here? Well, even if it wasn't intentional...I LOVED it! lol She's my fave author, and you write very much like her, with the added bonus of it bing fan fic...I'm in heaven! Can I just chain you to my kitchen table and make you write all day just for me? oohhhh whoa.....we just went all Stephen King here, sorry lmao....I promise..no cutting off of limbs, and I supply free beveragesall all my slave writers, honest!

About your Nora Roberts comment yes there is some influence from her 3 sisters trilogy as well as the donovan legacy, practical magic, and even the born in series... some of the characters though are based on actual people I know...Nellie was patterned after a woman I know named Nellie...as is Sarah who was patterned after a friend of mine who is PAINFULLY shy. If you remember Nel wasn't shy she was scared. The bookstore and cafe now those were direct ideas from the 3 Sisters Trilogy because I liked the idea of the bookstore and cafe combined and it fit for Viggo since he is a poet and I liked the idea of having it on an island disconnected from everything else. The cottage was patterned after a vacation spot that rents out small rock cottages near my home.

I am working on a sequel to this story based around Sean Bean that picks up before the Epilogue on this one that finishes out the story. While yes it may be similar to Nora Roberts it's not the same...and after all its fan fiction it's not like people aren't itiniting Tolkien in the book section. :)

This bears a *very* striking resemblance to Nora Roberts' Three Sisters Island trilogy.

The last chapter is hilarious and the epilogue is just too cute. I LOVED the way you used his other characters Lucifer and the Master Chief to rip her ex to shreds on the phone...that was sooo awesome! ;)

I really enjoyed reading it and your other stories are just as good...keep up the good work! So when are you posting more??? Sorry I am hooked on your writing style now! :)
