Ok, well, I think I shall take your lead and also thank Lalaith Nienóri for her contribution, because I think the sub-plot with Vand is just amazing! I love how the villain is twisted into being the victim, and there is always two sides to every story, and though it does not excuse him for doing what he did, it does gain him much sympathy. Can't wait to see if his escape plans works or not. Though, I have a wish for Elves to learn to accept him and then he can be happy living in Imladris with ELvan friends. Though, somehow I don't see that happening, just want everyone to end up happy.
Now, sorry, but I'm going to start whining about your major character here. LINDIR! MY GOD! First he claims to be selfish with what he has done in the past, yet he still does it in the present! How could he not expect everyone to come running after him? Maybe if he told everyone the truth then ran away, he could be clear of conscious that no one would want him. But doing so without a reason apparent to everyone is going to cause worry to everyone who knows him! Besides, lindir was only little and had his whole life ahead of him, of course he'd want to live rather than die, he still had so much to live for. Sorry, but he's just pissing me of right now. (But makes for one hell of a good angst story! Well done Mirasaui!). Besides, 1. she shouldn't have been eavesdropping, and 2. He shouldn't be listening to rumours and speculation as it is! Even if it is half true.
Now, I've been thinking what this conversation could have been that Elrond, Glorfindel and Erestor had that they want to keep from Lindir, and, while this is only a guess, and is probably wrong, it's just what I'm thinking so far (don't correct me if I'm wrong, or tell me if I'ght ght as I want it to be a surprise of we find out, I just can't keep it to myself any more). I think that maybe Lindir's parents' bodies were found. And, as they were a long way away from where Lindir was found, maybe they think that Lindir didn't know they were dead (or something like that). Anyway, just a thought, and I can't wait to find out the real reason behind all the secrecy. And, Lindir, seriously needs to learn howtrustrust those around him, esp. Glorfindel. After all he has done for the minstrel the past few days, it's the least he could do.
Anyway, loving this fic and 't w't wait for the next update,
Luv Mawgy

OH! Another brilliant chapter! However do you do it so consistently?
Poor Lindir, it seems everything is his fault, according to him. He really needs a good ego boost, soon. But, luckily Haldir is there to make him feel a bit better, hopefully.
I feel so sorry for Elladan and elrohir, they're just curious elflings wanting to know what's got into the adults. No need to send them to their room. Stupid Elrond. It's his fault for not hiding his feelings better!
What is it with Elves and their pride? It's not like that's all there is! Or is it just a male thing in general?
I must admit, ealleally like that half/elf person now that I've seen him through Lindir's eyes. Strange how a different perspective can change a person's opinion like that.
Anyway, this is going wonderfully. I look forward to your next update.

one thing that is a little off: the second word in the chapter. Market has a 'k' in it, you may want to fix up the chapter title, huh?

I'm loving your story. I loved Haldir's story in the beginning, and it set up your story perfectly. Of course, I could never resist a story with Haldir, but I find myself liking Lindir just as much. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to read more.
